Tsinadze, Sachino

Cellist SACHINO TSINADZE was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, where he began his studies at the Special Music Gymnasium for Gifted Children. Before finishing, he began taking lessons from Tamara Gabarashvili at the State Conservatory. He has played numerous recitals in Tbilisi, as well as a concert with the Georgian National Symphony Orchestra, with Djansug Kakhidze conducting. He also served as the associate principal in the Georgian Chamber Orchestra and was a member of the Conservatory String Quartet. In 1995-96 Sachino was a member of the Rowan Honors String Quartet in New Jersey. The group won a first runner-up prize at the MTNA NationalChamber Music Competition in Kansas City. Mr. Tsinadze completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University with Dennis Parker and is currently working towards his Master's degree at Temple University with Jeffrey Solow.  Sachino has developed an active interest in the electric cello and has issued numerous recordings under the public name of “Cellonator”.  Sachino received a contemporary American cello from the Virtu Foundation made by David Caron.
