Jeremy Crosmer

Jeremy Crosmer is entering his second year as a master's student at the University of Michigan, studying with Anthony Elliott.  He graduated from Hendrix College with honors and distinction at the age of nineteen, where he studied cello performance, composition and mathematics.  Crosmer began cello at age four, and since then has developed many other creative interests both inside and outside the musical field.  These include maze-drawing, playing old-time fiddle music, composing both classical music and electronic pop music, and taking math classes for fun.  When he was sixteen, Crosmer became the youngest regular member of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.  Among the numerous summer programs Crosmer has attended are:  Aspen Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, Encore School for Strings and Interlochen Arts Camp.
