Emily J. Taubl

Emily Taubl was, quite literally, born into music.  As the eldest of seven children she, all of her siblings and her parents have been a part of the touring and performing Taubl family for years.  As each Taubl child became old enough to play an instrument it was placed in their hands and they joined their elders on stage.  The Taubl Family web-site is at: www.thetaublfamily.com.    Emily is a cellist and has had a Virtu provided instrument since 1999.  Currently she plays a cello made by Tetsuo Matsuda in the shop of William Harris Lee, Chicago.  Emily attended Julliard’s pre-college program, studying with Ardyth Alton, holds an undergraduate degree from Southern Connecticut State University and a masters degree from Yale where she studied under Aldo Parisot and played in the acclaimed Yale Cellos group.  She now maintains an active teaching schedule and is auditioning for orchestra positions.
