Caleb vanderswaagh To Attend American Conservatory in France

6/14/2008

Cellist Scholar Caleb vanderswaagh will spend part of the summer of ’08 at the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, France. The Conservatory is famous because Nadia Boulanger, one of the most important music teachers of the 20th century, taught there for many years.  Only about 30 students each year are selected for the festival which runs from July 8 to August 5.  Caleb is a student of Bonnie Hampton at Julliard under a joint program with Columbia University where he is an English major.  Caleb is also studying the viola da gamba.
