Carman Flores Appointed Principal Violist

Scholar Carman Flores has been appointed Principal Viola of the London based Royal Ballet Sinfonia. The principal conductor is Paul Murphy. The Sinfonia works with various ballet companies including the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Royal Ballet in London. Carmen, a recent transplant to England, achieved the appointment after a six month trial period. She comments that the experience has been “wonderful and that she is enjoying carving a niche in the London orchestral scene”.
