Cellist Norman Lewandowski Plays Charlottesville Concert1/27/2009Accompanied by Jeffrey Brown, pianist, on January 24, 2009, Virtu Scholar and cellist Norbert Lewandowski presented a program to an invited audience at Charlottesville, Virginia. The program included works by J. S. Bach, Pierre Jalbert, Gabriel Faure and Bohuslav Martinu. The program was one of a continuing series of concerts to introduce Virtu Scholars to music enthusiasts in intimate chamber music settings. Scholar Lewandowski commented that he and Jeffrey Brown, who is currently on the faculty of Christopher Newport University, have been collaborating since they first met at The Eastman School. Lewandowski played on a cello made by Hjorth and Sons, of Copenhagen.
