Philip Borter Plays Charlottesville Concert

Cellist Philip Borter played a Virtu Foundation sponsored concert in Charlottesville, Virginia on September 21, 2007. The program was part of the Virtu Foundation's initative to introduce both the Foundation and Scholars to a wider audience. The concert was held at a private residence near Charlottesville. The program included Bach's Suites Number 1 and 3, March, from Prokofieff's Music For Children and, playing from the composer's handwritten score, Meditace by Frantick Smetana. Philip is currently a student at Eastman where he working towards a graduate degree. He plays on a contemporary instrument by David Caron.
