Scholar John Littlejohn sparks new Baltimore String Program.3/31/2009John Littlejohn has become the prime mover to create a new summer program for young musicians in Baltimore. The proposed Thrive City String Academy will be a two week long intensive program designed to educate, inspire and develop Baltimore’s young musicians from low-income backgrounds. It will be held on the campus of Towson University. Littlejohn says: "The Thrive City String Academy will provide students with high-quality instruction and mentorship through a program that includes private instruction, ensembles, field-trips, theory and improvisation, and performances."
