Violist and Virtu Scholar Molly Carr returns to Virginia for concert.

Molly Carr, violist and Virtu Scholar, chose works by Tchaikovsky, Penderecki, Zimbalist and Bloch for her return concert at a country home near Charlottesville, Virginia in January, 2009. In this, her second Virtu sponsored concert at Charlottesville, she was accompanied by pianist Yi-Fang Huang. Carr and Huang had previously collaborated at the Primrose Viola Competition where Ms. Carr was a prize winner. Both are currently at Julliard; Molly in her senior year as a student and Y-Fang as a faculty member. On September 11, 2008, Ms. Carr was part of the quartet which included Itzhak Perlman which played at the memorial service at Ground Zero in New York. Ms. Carr plays a viola made by Stanley Kiernoziak.
