Cellist Philip Borter played a Virtu Foundation sponsored concert in Charlottesville, Virginia on September 21st. The program was part of the Virtu Foundation's initative to introduce both the Foundation and Scholars to a wider audience.

The Virtu Foundation has contributed five thousand dollars to and purchased twenty-six violins for the New Song Learning Center in Baltimre, Maryland. New Song's String Music program, which was founded with support from the Virtu Foundation, introduces elementary school-aged children to the wonders and challenges of learning music through playing the violin.
